C2PA / Content Credentials
An open standard for signed metadata that records how a file was made – including that AI was used.
C2PA manifests travel with an image or video and can be checked by platforms and viewers. They are signed with a certificate; without a trusted certificate a file can still carry an unsigned AI label in its metadata.
