Talking product ad playbook
Your product gets a face and a voice.
- 1
Pick the angle
Say it in your customer's words: The old [alternative] admits why it never worked – then [product] shows up
Works best for buyers who are solution-aware, product-aware.
- 2
Open with a hook
- Curiosity & pattern break – An odd image or claim that has to be resolved.
- Problem callout – Name the exact pain (and who has it) before anything else.
- Hooks by niche →
- 3
Write the beats
- Failed-solution confession – The old alternative confesses its cheap trick and the harm it does, then the product enters as the honest fix.
3 scenes. Keep each spoken line to 15–22 words for an 8-second clip.
The talking object is NOT our product – it is the failed alternative the viewer already tried. It confesses in three beats: 'I'm [the failed solution]' → 'I [do this cheap thing] to [serve myself]' → 'but that [hurts you like this]'. Then our product enters as the honest fix. Funny, self-aware, never mean about real brands.

Shoot every scene the same way
Scene promptCharacter: The product itself as a cute animated character with expressive eyes and mouth, keeping its real label and colors. The everyday object has a simple cartoon face (two eyes, an expressive mouth) on its real surface, otherwise photoreal in a real home setting, soft daylight Each scene: [subject] performs [one action] in [setting]. [shot size + ONE camera move]. [lighting + mood]. [continuity constraint]. Avoid: on-screen text, captions, prices or watermarks, garbled or invented lettering, photorealistic humans mixed into the stylized world, the product redesigned beyond recognition, the hero product talking in the confession scenes.
Fill the brackets for each scene – one action and one camera move per shot.

Check before you post
- Style lock holds: same material, palette and character design in every scene
- The real product is recognizable (shape, colors, label) even in the stylized world
- One clear action per scene, readable at phone size
- No text or garbled lettering inside the image – text lives in the timeline
- Voice timing matches the scene length
- The failed alternative is generic – no real brand or logo
- A fictional presenter demonstrates or explains – no invented personal customer stories
- Only claims from the product's claim registry; no cure, guarantee or before/after promises the niche forbids
- Never name or picture a real competitor brand
